Very interesting guided tour. We were also shown around the village. For those who are interested in mining, it is important to know that there are several interesting mines higher up the hills: 62.627140537163484,11.51847839355469 (Storschwarz mines) 62.625483037981496,11.51766300201416 (Storschwarz mines) 62.62808763797468,11.538305282592775 (Gamle Storschwarz mine) 62.671266961511435,11.259570121765138 (Rødalen mine) 62.66945430129438,11.282014846801758 (Oscars shaft) 62.67069559146284,11.300854682922365 (Arvedals mine) 62.670203022226666,11.317291259765627 (Kongens mine) 62.68690639643548,11.335186958312988 (Christianus Sextus mine)

Very interesting museum and surrounding sites. Not much in English which is a shame but they do have a useful audio guide you can download to use with free wi-fi. You also need data to use the QR codes outside the museum itself.

Beautiful memories of miners in Old copper mine of Røros. This trade with copper is the reason that Røros is so charming with a breath of European late medieval aristocracy.

Amazing museum! A must if you are in Røros. Explains the history of the mine with great miniatures and wonderfully painted signs. Really great experience and friendly staff as well.

Fantastic, my home country's history really moved me. The staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing art. And the models of the equipment for the smelting and mining were so realistic in the 1-10th scale. It helped me understand more of my home country's struggle and the path to overcome the obstacles that eventually led my home country to the pinnacle of success and prosperity that we enjoy today.

Historic site and worth a visit.. It's rural and requires time and planning to get there.
