We want say thanks to this company and its manager for the provided service. That was our first trip to Norway. And in order to visit our chosen places, we had to rent a car. We arrived at the airport in the city of Sandefjord. And I was looking for a car rental nearby. To my surprise, many car rental companies had negative reviews - both the condition of the cars and the return of the deposit. I saw that Rent-a-Wreck had good reviews. But I was still worried. First I contacted them by email. Then we talked on the phone. I asked a lot of questions. Thanks to the manager for the patience. As a result, we arrived at the rental point. An agreement was made on the spot. We also took additional insurance (it is not very expensive), because we will travel through winter Norway. We had a Ford focus. In fairly good condition. Clean. Diesel. Climate control. Our journey passed without any problems. The car behaved very well on the road. Well, the roads in Norway were good even in winter. We returned the car on time and flew home. A few days later we received an invoice for the services provided by e-mail. And the deposit that we left when renting a car was completely returned to our account. Thanks again from our family . We have taken a car for a rent class B. In overall we have managed to travel 1.7k km without any major problems. So service might be recommended for people looking some cheaper option than other providers close to Oslo. At the same time you have to consider risks that are coming with that lower price. In my experience: 1. I have been asked to pay 10 000 nok just as insurance for accident which is quite high and will be returned in the end, to reduce it I've been suggested to buy additional insurance for 700nok only. After that blocked amount is reduced to 4000nok, which is more or less might be accepted. That makes \cheap\ price close to other providers price. In my case difference was only 300 nok. 2. Car had multiple things that bothered me during travel: -Car is old from 2000s; - Interior was dirty, sticky steering wheel, gear shift and seats are dirty - someone smoked there and it was impossible for non-smokers to ride it without opened windows -wipers were so old and seems not changed for 5 or more years, it was close to impossible to ride in the rain - there was some problem with automatic gearbox, seems clutch issue, when car is braking there were strange noises when car is about to downshift - right headlight sometimes decides to not work, hence I was riding inly with one headlight which makes very unpleasant night rides. So having all of the said in mind its up to you deciding whether you want to make a rental cheaper a bit, you have to consider all risks and benefits for you (if you want based on my experience)
Good prices, good cars, excellent customer service. Definitely to recommend if you fly from/to Oslo Torp airport. Specially for groups.
Rent-A-Wreck's model is great for people looking for budget-friendly car rental options. We got a 2010 Skoda Octavia which suited our needs perfectly and even though the car was a bit scratched and with visible signs of age it functioned perfectly. Even when we had a battery problem we received quick response and help to fix our problem and let us continue on our way. I would definitely rent from them again :)

We rented a car in Oslo Torp for our skitouring to Spiterstulen. They alsio supplied snow chains! The car was old but well. Pickup and drop-off very fast.
