Henrik Arnold Wergeland (born June 17, 1808 in Christianssand , died July 12, 1845 in Christiania ) was a Norwegian poet and the country's first national archivist . His poetry ranges from cosmological poetry to children's poetry to doom poetry and poetry with social tendency. in the form of versroman, novellist sketches and individual poems. The writing contains a multitude of hymns , country songs , sailor songs and apartment poems . Wergeland also wrote drama , such as sorcery , singing and daddy . On Norwegian grounds, he created new genres such as the visionary creation poem, the utopian drama, the polemic short prose and the visionary program script.
