3 hours waiting time for what could have been a broken knee, and the lovely lady at reception told me to go home and visit the doctor the next day (it was a weekend). Luckily the doctor inside had more insight and referred me to some x-rays. Reception lady was arrogant and even smiled when said \you are going to be here a long time\.
My 1.5 year old son had breathing difficulty and a high temperature for 5 days. I went to the legevakt- the woman at the desk said his breathing was high, but refused to listen to his heart or lungs or determine his oxygen saturation. She did watch him breathing and determined it was 45 breaths per minute. She said to give him some more paracet and if his breathing was above 35, I should come back. She told me he had a virus, and it was not an emergency, yet his breathing was way above the normal (normal is 25-35) before I left the hospital. I called back during the night because he was breathing heavy in his sleep, but no one answered after it rang for 10 minutes. I went to the GP the next day. She said he had rapid breathing and a bacteria test pointed to pneumonia. He was put on antibiotics straight away. The GP expressed surprise that I wasnt seen. It is extremely dangerous for the nurse to diagnose a patient without a proper evaluation. In particular, when a 1 year old is having breathing difficulty, I should be allowed to see a doctor. A 1 year old with pneumonia can quickly turn deadly. I am glad I trusted my instincts and went back to the doctor the next day, but maybe another patient wouldnt do the same.
The staff was alright there, some are friendly, the others aren't hostile. Although the waiting time was too long. They got the job done. But seriously the waiting time is unnecessarily long.
I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant and bleeding. I went there just to get rejected. The woman in the phone and in the registration told me that I’m not their priority because I’m only 8weeks pregnant and that they couldn’t do anything about it Even if I waited long there they will still not put me in the front line because in my situation Guess this is what I get from paying taxes
Waiting time 4 hours.
After four hours waiting on the bench with my fiance we give up and went back home, we went to private sector, terrible waiting time, you can not call it emergency, you are dying with the waiting ticket in your hands. Not an European system what so ever, I was expecting more from Norway :(
When I said I had ear pain they gave me pain killers without looking in ear and said come back if it gets worse. Nice but not good doctors. I had ruptured both ear drums
