The "Aasta Hansteen" tow-out The platform was completed by Kværner yard located at Stord islands, Norway. This tow-out started on April 12th early in the morning and used almost 2 days towing it in the Norwegian fjords before they reached the north sea Friday afternoon on April 13th. They will tow it to the Norwegian sea about 300 kimometers from land located northweat of Sandnessjøen in northern Norway. This is an offshore gas field. The whole platform from the draft of the construction and to the top of the flame tower, is higher than the Eifel tower in Paris. The five AH tugs Skandi Vega, Skandi Iceman, Normand Ranger, Normand Prosper & Siem Opal doing the tow-out operation has a total about a 150.000 horsepower.
