I came to Strandheim as a volunteer in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. I originally intended to come for two weeks, but ended up staying for two months! The manager of the place made me feel really welcome and safe. At first, I had an entirely separate accommodation, kitchen and bathroom. Later on, as I helped to serve guests, I saw Marianna work in the kitchen, and it was magic! While we maintained really strict rules about hygiene, Marianna was all smiles when she was able to feed people with delicious food. She really wanted to make people happy about their experience at Strandheim. It was such a positive work environment! If I could’ve stayed for longer, I would have. The mountain goats, Lillebror and Knerten, and the little chicks that lay eggs are a bonus. Meeting the sunrises and sunsets over the Oslofjord will remain one of the most vibrant and breathtaking experiences of my life. Feeling grateful that this place exists.

Rustige plaats, is een Kampplaats voor kinderen. dicht bij het water, maar je mag hier niet overnachten met een voertuig. Dagparkeren wel toegestaan, 50nok voor gans de dag. Honden aan de lijn want er lopen kippen en eenden rond!

Fantastiskt plass med mye muligheter for et stort eller litet leir. Anbefales.
Lite mrd fisk, parkerte mot avgift på 50 kr. Helt supert.
