Nice and interesting place. Not so big, orientated probably for kids, because a lot of entertaining things. Room with whales fantastic!

We started in the WW2 exhibition was a bit disappointing. It was pretty much just some posters on the walls and there were no explanations for the items displayed. Viking exhibition was more interesting but quite small. We had expected more considering the areas history. The city history section was very interesting though and well made but after a while we felt like there was too much to read and an overload of information despite the interesting topics. The whaling section was also an interesting part and probably the church history would have been as well but at this time we were already so full of information that we skipped it quickly. Less text - more interaction and display.
A wonderful place to visit. Old Viking ships and horse drawn carriages all made well over one thousand years ago.
Totally immersive journey through Viking history, whaling and the early township.
Wonderful museum, with artifacts presented very well. Helpful staff and a lovely outdoor area.
Great whaling museum. I would have liked it even more if most of the historical part didn't have to be fully read, I think a more interactive design would be beneficial. However, it was a really insightful museum.
I was a bit disappointed by this museum. It was kind of pricy for such a little museum. We spent about 10 minute looking through the entire collection. The only reason it was kind of worth the price was to climb the tower and see the city from a high vantage point.
Well preserved ancient stuffs
