Before visiting Unstad Arctic Surf on a study trip for upnorway.com I thought this place was for surfers only - I was wrong. Marion and Tommy were perfect hosts, their cute dog kept me company at breakfast, and the house I stayed in was both elegant and comfortable and with a brilliant location near the beach with easy access to mountain trails. I particilarly enjoyed my fat bike & hike combo! Highly recommended for surfers, families and others!

The SUP course was cancelled by them due to weather conditions- and after many emails, dialogue and messages, they still haven’t returned the money back as they promised. It has been almost two months and they ignored our messages. The course is expensive and we deserve some expansion and apologies. There are many other companies who are lovely and service minded, like Northen Explorer. Please really consider before you book here, NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
Was overall a pretty nice place, however could not finish the cinnamon buns because they where so sweet, the brownies as well. The coffee was nice tho!
Excellent location with small town charm. Amazing food. The hiking opportunities are great, SUP'd to an island with a light house, views on the beach are spectacular.
Unstad Arctic Surf is for sure the best place to go! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the facilities are amazing, everything is new and clean. I hope be back soon to stay for longer. I highly recommend!
This is the first negative review I write, however the exceptionally unpleasant service at Unstad demands it. Last year we made a reservation for 10 people which was paid in full, the trip had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Unstad did not give us a rebooking, we were vaguely promised a business discount if we made a new booking the following year and since then we’ve been ignored with zero courtesy. Short of theft I’m not sure how to describe the experience and I highly recommend people stay elsewhere for their holidays.

Simply great, extremely kind people and the service is fantastic! The cinnamon buns are as good as they claim, the best! And the surfing is also really great!
