Lovely, really lovely botanical gardens in Trondheim. They are quite a way out of the city but public transport in Trondheim is great and there are several buses that will whisk you here. Also nestling in the centre of the garden is the highly-rated museum of musical instruments so you can combine two Trondheim highlights. The garden is free but the museum is not.

Nice botanical garden to stroll around. Mid June to mid July is probably the best period to visit when the flowers are blooming at its peak.

Nice collection of flowers, green plants and spices. Birds and pond have add more beauty to this garden. June and July are the best times to visit. It has no entrance fee and has free parking facility.

Huge park with wide variety of plants and trees, most of them labelled with short description. I loved the big lake with ducks.

Although not very big, there are many different plants, trees and flowers in this little garden. There are paths going around that makes it easy to find a hidden corner to pleasure your self, or your partners, or both, without getting too interrupted by other garden enthusiasts. There are no visible guards here, so you feel like you have privacy, but know that they are there, often several of them hiding in the bushes, armed with vintage gardening tools and weapons. But, since they are very liberal and morally relaxed, you can usually do whatever without them revealing their presence. If you are mean to the fauna here though, get ready for a beating, because they absolutely do not tolerate such behaviour, and after they beat you up they will call the police, who will probably give you another beating before either fining you or throwing you in jail. Usually lots of ducks here too, wich easily brings this up among the 5 star reviews. Some seagulls should be expected too.
